Ipoh Trip Dec08

Finally, Rion the IceCleric is back from the Ipoh trip!
After travelling to two countries in just one month, I still think that home (Singapore) is the best!
I did enjoy my time in Ipoh, even though the plan on Christmas eve had been changed at the very last minute.
Going on a holiday with my crazy friends are sure fun. Too bad, we missed one person, if that person's around, I think that it would be even more fun together. Sigh, never mind.
Once again, I don't wish to do too much talking, if you wish to know more about my this trip, come ask me and I will be glad to share with you the experiences I had there. I shall let the photos do the talking soon, after I've reformatted my desktop.

Feeling Sick

http://josephinecheang.files.wordpress.com/2007/12/lo-sick_teddy_bear_3-324950.jpg

Hey yoz people! I'm back from my first trip to China. I did had lots of fun staying there, thanks to my grandmother. If you want to know about the trip, ask me. This time I don't wish to put up another long post again. Another reason is that I am feeling super sick now. Caught a flu/cold from my stupid little brat cousin back in China. He don't even know what is "cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze" in fact he keep coughing in my face. Hence, no choice, I eventually caught the virus.

How am I going to go for the Ipoh trip with my friends tomorrow in this kind of condition?

Arghh... I'm having a terrible headache now, shan't blog further. I think I will post up those pictures that I've take in China sometime after I come back from my Ipoh trip and reformatted my slow desktop.

Blogging In Church

Its great to have a uncle (舅舅) who works in the church. Why? Cause I can come to the church to use the computer and surf the net! Wahaha.. .. Well, today my main purpose is to come and print my holidays assignment and not the play. *Sigh* Even though I am having my holidays at my grandparents place in China, I still gotta worry about my assignments and studies.

Will be back to Singapore on 21st Dec. Arriving at Terminal 1 at around 3pm.
After which on 22nd Dec, I will be leaving with my two best friends to Malaysia for another short holiday and will be celebrating our Christmas there. Only will be back after Christmas.
Think I will experience some jet lag for the first time.

Well, that's all for the updates, can't use the computer too long, others need it to do their work.

The Regulars

First of all, Happy Birthday to (my jiemei) SiMin! Like the chocolates I made for your present? =]
haha..

I have been helping out my dad's business for about a month or so already and there are some common faces that I see everyday. They are the regulars. My dad told me that the main part of the income came from them, hence they are very important people.

There is this cute Japanese looking guy, who wears a headphone everytime. He got this yellow hair and this cute little face. Usually he orders for 3 dishes.

Then there is this "cute" auntie who MUST give some comments everytime when she buys the food. Her nick name? Ke Ai de (the cute one). I kinda find her troublesome though, must hear her naggings everytime. haha..

Here comes the Handsome! This old uncle with little grey hair left and wears a sunglasses everytime, comes to our store, the first thing he does is take a come an comb his hair! LoLz as if the food are his mirror like that.

Now, the $1.50 auntie will come every time with coins prepared and orders just 1 dish. The coin she gave is exact amount of the food she orders.

There are other regular customers too, but thoese I did not nickname them though for their actions does not really make me want to give them a name.

Eh.. I know its bad giving people nicknames, but it makes remembering the customer easier between the workers (included me). If I i get the chance to break away from the anti-social self I have, I would like to know their name and address them when they come. Just like the Starbucks Experience!

Quarantine

http://img.blogdecine.com/2008/06/quarantine.jpg

Come to think of it, horror movies are suppose to make you get frighten right? However, I am laughing while watching the horror movie called Quarantine. Well, its a remake of the Spanish/French movie called Rec.

From the feedback I have gotten from Xiong, it seems that the movie Rec is really scary. Hence CS and me decided to watch the remake English version of Rec (aka Quarantine). We managed to catch the last show at Jurong Point's Golden Village yesterday night and the whole experience wasn't really hair standing as described by Xiong.

Maybe that was me being the sadist? I find the reporter's (shown in picture above) frantic actions very funny instead of pitiful. She is awfully freaked out by the zombies (erm wait, maybe I should called them the rabies stricken undead instead?).
"I think that the Carpenter (the reporter's real name) very pitiful, she is not related to this problem and got dragged into it, in the end also die pathetically," commented CS.
The other reason that I laughed so hard is the part where they fight with the rabies stricken undead (RSU). As you know, the people are freaked out by those RSU, and the way they fight those disgustingly undead are super spastic! Just take for example, the cameraman used his video cam and wack the incoming attacking amah RSU. The whole process is on tape, even though blood could be seen splattered on the screen, but the process of him wacking the RSU till it "dies" (I suppose, cause it seems to sprang up to life again later in the show) is funny enough to make me fell off the chair. Sadist? Maybe.. ..

Throughout the whole movie, CS and me are self-entertaining ourselves, laughing hard. Hmm.. ..what do you expect? Maybe next time should watch horror movie with him, then I will not feel so scared.

Ten Brothers

Yesterday was the last episode of Ten Brothers shown on Channel 8.
I had to proclaim that I loved watching that show, it is seriously better than the movie version of the Ten Brothers created many years back. I think I am really suffering from some "hangover" as I can't seems to get enough and over with it.

Here's some pictures of the casts :

The parents (both are very good TVB actors!)

The happy family without 2nd and 3rd
Brother

The 1st Lovers in the show. (Big Boy and Xiao Lan)

The 2nd Lovers in the show. (3rd Boy and Tong Tong)

5th Bro is the cutest and the funniest bro in the show. He never fails to make me laugh! XD

This is the picture of the Big Boy in real life and in the show. Wow, he's actually very handsome in real life lor!

This is 3rd bro in the show, at first I don't really like him but the more I see him the more I begin to like him. He got this smile that looks really nice. *envy*
And, that's him in real life, not much of a difference though, except for the hairdo.

The girls in the show. They are really pretty. Well, either in show or in real life they aren't much different cause their hairdo didn' t go as bad as the Ten Brothers'. The first lover's love triangle is more complicated but the 2nd lover's isn't.

Preparation

http://hk.geocities.com/yalepvg/xm737mo.jpg

Wee~ I can't wait any longer! One more week and I am gonna fly back to my hometown to visit my grandparents for two weeks. I'm gonna start my packing today, just in case on that day I will forget something at the very last minute. Well, in fact I'm just too excited.

The flight that I will be taking is Xiamen Airlines which is shown in the picture above. It's a shitty airline though. It is not spacious inside even though the plane is very big. They cramp inside lots of seats. Furthermore, their service standards are even worst. On top of all these, the rude culture of the Chi-Nas people made the flight even more unpleasant. Ask me, why then would I take this lousy flight? My answer would be that there are no other alternatives I could get. Only this airline will reach the airport cloest to my hometown. Sigh, think I'll just have to bear with it for four hours plus.

I will depart from Singapore on 8th Dec at Changi Terminal 1 at around 3pm plus nearing 4. However, before I depart, I must take the skytrain down to T3 and grab a bite of Popeyes! Two weeks from then, I will be back in Singapore on 21st, arriving at night time.

Since Dec had started, I shall bring some of my work there and start chiong-ing already, if not when I come back, I doubt I had time and the concentration to study again.
