Mid-Course 2008

Yay! Finally, the Mid-Course is over already! I’m free, at least for now though. (I still got PW and GCE ‘A’ Level Mother Tongue that is coming soon.)

What you reap is what you sow. I know this time, I did not put in my full effort in preparation of my promotional exams. If I could ever get promoted I’ll be more then happy and I promise that I will start my J1 work revision this holidays. Speaking of which, I have big plans for this coming holiday. Hmm… shall make a post about it some other day. I want to continue to be a member of 0811C not 0911C. Eh, I know that the latter class rocks cause its 911! LoLz… but I rather stick to 0811C.

Here are a summary of the different days of my Mid-Course and how well I think I will fare.

Day 1 (Languages)

For GP, I totally screwed up both of my papers. It sucks totally to the core! I chose the wrong question and spent the rest of the time there thinking how to write up on the stupid allowance of Gay Marriage in Singapore topic. In the end I submitted a script that is not even fully done, all drafted ideas and are very vague. All I could think about is only section 377A, what else could I write? Maybe I should go Trevvy and read up more on Gay and Lesbian articles. Then it come Paper 2 which is comprehension. The article is like so damn hard lah! I totally seh diao lor! No idea what the whole article is trying to bring across. Its something related to IT and Technology though. Stoned for like 15minutes as my mind went blank. Well, my 1 credit point for GP is like totally flushed down the drain.

Mother Tongue is another nightmare! Same as GP I went blank for my Paper1 sitting there experiencing Stone Age. I didn’t even complete the story that I’m supposed to write for that question, stuck at the introductory paragraph. Paper 2 come as another judgement. The first passage came out the one that I never really studied, totally taken aback when doing the 50words limit part. Well, the paper is still manageable, just that I don’t have much time. Blame it on my writing speed, the way I hold my pen doesn’t allow me to write at a very fast pace if not my hand will pain.

Day 3 (Brain Power)

Economics is kind of like a breeze. At least it doesn’t cause me a headache like the languages paper. What Mr Foo hinted actually came out in the paper. Well, tried my best even though I didn’t study much, especially ADAS. Another hindrance is just that my writing speed again.

Biology came like bacteria! I only realise my mistake after submitting the Paper 1, its too late. Paper 2 actually came out the chapter that I didn’t study, which is Bacteria! OMG and it is like the whole of question 1 which consisted mainly about bacteria related stuffs costs 28 marks! The weightage is like so heavy lah! Paper 2 I did in no order, I any how skip from questions to questions in the end also didn’t have enough time to complete. Guess that I wrote too much rubbish le.

Day 4 (Logic)

Seriously, I don’t think my brain can think very fast. For Maths paper, I was rather slow. Especially for the question on Matrix, I only come to my senses in the last 15minutes which isn’t enough for me to finish the whole 6marks question. Think my brain is experiencing ageing? Processing is getting slower and slower… Think my tuition teacher is going to kill me when he sees the sucky results I got back next time.

Day 5 (Chemistry)

In order to do Chemistry paper you must have chemistry with the paper. LoLz. This paper is like hell to me! For Paper 2 and 3 I counted I altogether confirm lose at least 46 marks. What ever I studied only came out in Paper 1 =.= Water The Flowers! Everyone complained that Paper 1 was rather difficult but not me. Well, just hope that I can at least get a E or S I happy already, cause this way when they recalculate for Promotion criteria, I should be able to make it.
