Angel of Despair
Do not play with the Death Angel. Cross at your own risk. He can easily take away one's life with the Hand of Death.
I was left in shock after seeing an accident happening so close to me. Though I did not witness the whole event but a glance at the body is enough to left me with emotions. Well, this is the event:
- After waving goodbye to CS, I walked all the way to the berth of bus 199.
- Took out my i-pod and start listening.
- Wait quite awhile, saw a few bus that I can take to reach the bus stop nearest to my unit.
- Before bus 199 come, bus 240 which is filled with people exit the bus interchange.
- When bus 199 finally came, people in the queue was looking at the traffic crossing.
- Out of curiosity, I turned and look too.
- Saw that bus 240 stopped and many people got off the bus.
- I just shrug it off thinking that the bus breakdown.
- However, it all seems too strange that a bus would breakdown directly after leaving the interchange.
- Hence, I strained my neck and look even harder, there seems to be people crowding around somewhere near the traffic light area.
- Finally, I saw a body of a woman lying in the middle of the road.
- At that instant I know that she had been knocked down. (Is it by the bus 240, I can't assure)
- The driver honked at us to signal us "eh don't be a kaypoh lah, faster board the bus!"
- When the bus exits the interchange (turned the other direction), I caught a full glimpse of the scene.
- It was a young woman in her early 20s, she does not seems to be looking like committing suicide as she is in those nice looking clothes, (those for going out to somewhere kind) and carrying a handbag (like those teenage girls nowadays carry).
- Everyone was just crowing around her, I saw no blood but I was disturbed.
- I realised that the Angel of Death can easily ask for your life anytime he wants and no consent from you is needed.
- On my way home, images of the scene keep flashing in my mind and for a moment I felt so sad for the girl.
