GP Poem

Mr Perrira (I think I spelt his name wrongly) asked us to come up with some poem or a song for the topic of prejudice and discrimination topic sometime ago. Our group did a fairly bad job which got a scolding from him, a bad one. I really regret my actions yesterday during his lessons. Anyway, to compensate I came up with the poem myself. Hope you will enjoy this.

It is not me who chose to be born this way
What if I tell you I am gay
Would you rather stone me alive instead?

It is not me to chose to be coloured or not
Slavery isn't my job
and Blacks doesn't always sing hip hop.

It is not me who want to age per year
When you need me I'm always here
Don't chuck me away
I'll lend you my listening ear.

It is not up to me to opt for my gender
Women sometimes can do even better
So why am I not given the big task to handle?

If I got a choice
I would rather not be born
into this world that is full of with prejudice
and discrimination
But do I have the option?
