Caution: This post is gonna talk about something that is sensitive, its about section 377A (or 337A, I forgot) of the law. If you can't bear to continue reading then do navigate away from this page of skip this post. Thank you.
Just a day back, the usual gossip gang in my class started gossiping about some lesbian topic. To protect the identity of the person they gossiped about, I shan't disclose any other information here. After listening to the gossip, I have a sudden urge to blog about this.
People hide their sexuality for reasons. The most common reason is that they don't want their friends to know about it and despise them. They don't want to be looked down by people saying "eee..you are a gay/lesbian!". Neither do they want to lose their friends.
The society is that, normal citizens dislikes these kinda people. This in turns forced them to stay quiet. They want to be seen as "normal" people and be treated like one too. Hence, they sometimes do lie about their sexuality. Nobody wishes to be an outcast. We can't blame them too for keeping it a secret.
I do felt for these kinda of people. Sometimes it is not their choice to be like that. Studies have shown that their sexuality may be due to the gene, pointing that they may be born this way. Sometimes, other events happened which might have changed their mindset. Take for instance, this guy when young was raped by a gang of older boys in school. He was so scared that he kept this (gangbang incident) a secret. Slowly, this thinking may change and he is now a gay. The middle process I'm not too sure. There are many other reasons behind this sexuality issue. Another quick example is that this girl from young has no mother, or hates guys due to his father, she may grow up becoming a lesbian.
I do know that sometimes they are a little over, but do remember that they are human like us too. They deserves a right like us do. Why do despise them? Most of the HIV cases came from the heterosexual and not the homosexual people. I do believe that it is our mindset that think that those people are disgusting for what they do; and naturally we attach a stigma on them.
Well, after siding them so much, I do need to swing to the opposite. Just think of this, a best friend of yours that you have known for years tells you his/her sexuality, what will then be your response? In the worst case scenario, if he/she tells you that he/she likes you, will you freak out? Will you serve all ties with that best friend of yours? I do rather find it disturbing. Frankly speaking, I'm alright with homosexuals, however not with extreme sissy and transsexuals. One thing before I conclude today's topic, homosexuals appears normal to other people. They don't have a sign sticked on their forehead, saying I'm a GAY/LESBIAN! Hence, sometimes one must also be wary of this.
It is really painful when someone or some people went to dig out these untold truth. People hide it for a reason, so please respect them and stop digging or guessing. If they want to let you know, they would do it, if not just leave it as it is bah!
This topic only talks about discreet homosexuals, however those open homosexuals are of different case. Maybe I will talk about it so other time when I come across this kinda things bah.
