The ParentTeacherMeet
When Mdm Wong flashed the announcement during Civics Lesson, my heart almost skipped a beat. She proclaimed that those people who scored 6points and below are the compulsory case that their parents will be called down to the PTM. The PTM consent form is sent to us via snail mail and heng ar! I was always the one who opens the letter box; hence they are not informed about the PTM yet; just yet…
I wondered that how am I going to break the news to my mother. As expected, I am in the compulsory range; for the past few years I’ve always been in that range. I really wondered what will Mdm Wong going to tell my mother about… I hope it isn’t something bad, as she is already upset with me already, it will only worsen the situation.
The worst thing ever is that the PTM is actually on 25th July, one day after my birthday. However, Mdm Wong is on course on that day, hence she had shifted the timing to Monday, Tuesday and Thursday on the same week. Think of which, 25th is on the Friday, my birthday lies on the 24th which is one of the alternative date that she had suggested. Wow, how am I going to have a peaceful birthday this year? I surely can’t set my mind to rest with this matter. I don’t wish to see the disappointed face of my mother on that day too. What am I going to do?
Should I go for the alternative that Mdm Wong suggested; which is to give the contact of your parent - where your parent cannot make it in the suggested days and the timing? This seems to be a better way out for me. The percentage chance of Mdm Wong not calling is quite high – I bet she doesn’t have enough time to do all these calling. However, if she did call, I’m at risk to come home seeing the black face of my mother.
What should I do? I need to hand in the reply slip by this Friday, which is approaching very soon. What should I do?
Count down: 15days left!
